The Prison Art website opened in 1999 in order to provide an online outlet for the sale of artwork and crafts created by prisoners.

After a catastrophic hardware failure the site was down for a long time. Prison Art is now fully up-and-running and we are currently accepting new artwork and crafts to be posted on the site.

Click on the Prison Art brochure (on the right) to learn more how the site works. Basically, outside folks who want to post the art of their loved ones on the inside can e-mail a digital photograph or scan of the artist’s work, along with the information needed to post it on the site (explained in the brochure). I add twenty percent to the seller's asking price, the seller receives ninety percent of their asking price.
